Mechanical Engineering and Automation Department
Mechanical Engineering & Automatization Department was founded on the basis of the original Machinery& Electric Department in January, 1996 to adapt the demand of mechanical persons of ability in the whole society.
From the foundation of our department till now, we puts more effort on the teaching reformation, strengthens the construction of the teachers team, reinforces the laboratory construction and makes our effort on the training of well-trained engineering practitioners with high quality and great craftsmanship to reach the requirement for the equipment operating, repairing and managing in the mechanical as well as the mechanical &electrical fields.
Our department possesses the abundant teaching resource, including one professor, seven associate professors, seventeen instructors and five teaching assistants. Because of our strong research ability, we have gained outstanding achievement.
We have accomplished 4 provincial scientific research items and won 3 national patents. There are still 10 scientific research items under our research. In recent 5 years, the teachers of our department have published over 100 theses in above the provincial level publications (including over 30 theses published in the core periodicals).
At present, Mechanical Engineering & Automatization Department includes 5 professional orientations as following: Integration of Mechanics and Electronics,
Mechanical Design & Manufacturing, Numerical Control Technology, Die Design and Manufacturing as well as Vehicle Detection and Maintenance. In recent 10 years, over 2000 students have graduated from our department and work in those fields such as mechanics, electronics, building industry and textile industry as well. They are popular among the employers.

1. Integration of Mechanics and Electronics
To train the engineering practitioners with good quality and high craftsmanship and both ability and integrity. To undertake the design, installment, debugging, operating, managing and equipment alteration in the field of integration of mechanics and electronics product. 2. Mechanical Design & Manufacturing:
To train the engineering practitioners with good quality, high craftsmanship, creativity and practical ability. To master the fundamental principles and basic skills such as mechanical manufacture technology & technical equipment design, management, equipment maintenance, remodeling in the course of automatization production and CAD & manufacturing.

4. Die Design and Manufacturing:
To train the engineering practitioners with good quality and high craftsmanship mastering the foundamental principle and technology of modern die design and manufacturing and possessing computer application ability to undertake the design and manufacturing of modern die, CAD/CAM, the operating and management of Numerical Control Equipment.
