Arts Department

General Introduction

 

　　Arts Department offers courses in Decoration, Advertisement Design, Artistic Design and Computer Artistic Design, etc. It has the faculty with higher-rank academic titles, such as professors, associate professors, lecturers and professional engineering background. Well-known professors, specialists, scholars and industrialists are invited as part-time teachers in the department. 12 teachers get the Master’s Degree, which accounts 48% of the whole teaching staff. Arts Department sets up professional laboratory, practical training center and external communication organization. More than 10 experienced and responsible instructors (include full-time and part-time) specialize in students’ affairs.

　　1. Computer Artistic Design
　　Training Objectives:
　　To qualify students with basic artistic knowledge, computer applied knowledge, theory of computer artistic design and its application.
　　Main Courses:
　　Basic Artistic Knowledge, Industrial Art, Photographing, Applying Theory of Computer Artistic Design, Computer Two-dimensional Artistic Design, Computer Three-dimensional Artistic Design, Computer Decoration Design, Computer Advertisement Design, Multi-media Technique and Application, Film and Television Making, etc.

　　2. Advertisement Design and Making
　　Training Objectives:
　　To qualify students with basic artistic knowledge, computer applied knowledge, advertisement design theories and making.
　　Main Courses:
　　Arts Design Software (Photoshop&CorelDRAW, 3DMAX, AutoCAD), Sketch, Color, Visuals Design, Advertising Theory, Graphic Advertisement Design, Film and Television Advertisement Creation, VI Design, Cartoon Figures Design, Network Design, Packaging Design, Advertisement Photographing, Market Selling and Advertising Psychology, etc.

　　3. Artistic Design
　　Training Objectives:
　　To educate advanced and applied specialized graduates with strong ability of arts design, especially the furniture design, material design and its application.

　　Sketch, Color, Color Composition, Graphic Design, Stereoscopic Composition, Arts Design Software (Photoshop&CorelDRAW, 3DMAX, AutoCAD), Furniture Design, Furniture Materials, CI Design, Decoration and Sculpture, Visuals Design, Decorative Visuals, Exhibition Design and Artistic Photographing, etc.

　　4. Decoration Artistic Design

　　To educate advanced and applied specialized graduates rich in the knowledge of decoration artistic design and materials as well as capable of its application.
